Steel Permanent Chain Chaser are developed for a long time and used widely in shipbuilding industry. This type of chaser are suitable for most types of anchors and are easily repaired. 

Marine Chain Chaser is a tool for recovering embedded anchors deployed by the buoy and pennant method when the pennant has broken and the buoy drifted away. The material of the Marine Permanent Chaser is softer than the chain. This is to make the Steel Permanent Chaser sacrificial between the two so that the chain does not get damaged. The Permanent Ring Chain Chaser was especially designed with an inter-changeable cartridge allowing different chain sizes to be covered with the one chaser. The customer can specify the cassette size to suit the relevant chain size they are working with. When extremely heavy chains have to be installed the chaser assists by lifting the chain. The Marine Steel Permanent Chaser is available in 150t and 250t Safe Working Load (SWL) options.

The Permanent Chain Chaser is also used on semisubmerged rigs to prevent anchors from having to be buoyed off for recovery. The material of the Permanent Chaser is softer than the wire or chain. This is to make the chaser sacrificial between the two so that the chain or wire does not get damaged. This is used as an alternative to the buoy and pennant. The pear shaped permanent chasers are used widely with semi submersible drilling rigs. The chasers are designed to offer excellent sliding and penetration abilities. It is suitable for use with most single shank anchors.
