This electric driven complete above deck mounted mooring rope capstan consists of horizontal placed electric motor, a gear box and a vertical capstan head, it is completely mounted above deck. So it need more space on deck but non space needed from rooms under the deck compard to another complete vertical capstan in which the motor and gear box hanging below the deck.
