Energy Ehtca Group UK and its new US branch partner, Logitech Golf Testing and Calibration LLC US/LGTC (https://lgtcgroup.org/), are poised to become prominent global players in the energy services sector with our strategic plan to establish a Maintenance Energy Service Delivery Branch in Houston, USA. As Houston solidifies its position as the “Silicon Valley of Energy” and the central hub of the US energy market, Ehtca Group and Logitech America are committed to partnering with key industry actors in this vibrant energy ecosystem. Our aim is to become a leading international energy service provider in this dynamic market, leveraging insights from our US partner and Director of Logitech LLC USA, Mr. Frederick Mensah.
US Energy Market Transformation:
The US has dramatically transformed its role in the global energy landscape. Since entering the LNG export market in 2016, the country has surpassed traditional leaders like Qatar and Australia, emerging as the world’s largest LNG exporter by late 2023. This achievement is underscored by the US’s position as the top global producer of oil and natural gas and the third-largest exporter of oil. The nation’s ascent is particularly impressive considering its oil production hit a 62-year low in 2008, and it only became a net oil exporter in 2019.
This rapid growth is largely attributed to the shale revolution, which has propelled the US to a leading position in both liquid production and LNG exports. As of Q4 2023, the US was producing 21.4 million barrels per day (bpd) of total liquids, with 13.3 million bpd of that being crude and condensate. In the LNG sector, US export volumes range between 88 to 91 million metric tons.
Why Houston as the Epicenter of Energy Innovation?:
Houston, often referred to as America’s energy capital, is emerging as a key hub for energy innovation. This city is becoming the epicenter of what could be considered the “Silicon Valley of Energy,” a vision endorsed by notable figures such as Bill Gates. The investment surge in cleantech and energy innovation within Houston reflects the city’s central role in the US energy industry, with nearly 10 LNG export terminals either operational, under construction, or in planning stages.
The upcoming Gastech conference, a cornerstone event in the energy sector, will be held in Houston from September 17-20. We are planning to attend this event, which will spotlight not only traditional energy topics but also dedicated cleantech, AI, and hydrogen discussions, reinforcing Houston’s pivotal role in the future of energy and offering a great opportunity to promote and boost our brand and activity plan for the US energy market.
Strategic Opportunities for Ehtca Group and Partner:
As the US evolves from the largest energy importer to a leading exporter, Ehtca Group and its partner see significant opportunities to impact the global energy market. Our planned branch in Houston will allow us to engage with key players and contribute to the city’s growth as a major energy hub. By aligning with Houston’s ambitious energy goals and technological advancements, we aim to provide world-class energy services and innovations.
The US energy landscape, reshaped by geopolitical shifts and technological advancements, presents Ehtca Group and its partner with a unique platform to expand our influence and capabilities. Our commitment to excellence and innovation in energy services will position us as a leading international provider in this rapidly evolving market.
