Burkina, Mali and Côte d’Ivoire, among others, also have several projects in the exploration phase. If they are all 3 part of the Top 10 of the largest gold producers on the continent, none of them is in the Top 3 dominated by Ghana, South Africa and Sudan. The 3rd place of Sudan, which it owes in large part to its artisanal sector, is nevertheless disputed by Mali.
